Hungary ranked as the Best Country to Launch a Business in 2024

According to a recent study conducted by Business Name Generator, which evaluated 52 countries based on their attractiveness for startup launches in 2024, Hungary has emerged as the top destination worldwide. The study considered various criteria including tax rates, projected GDP growth, average cost of living, WiFi speed, as well as overall quality of life and happiness levels.

Hungary claimed the top spot primarily due to its low business tax rate of 9% and affordable cost of living ($694 excluding housing expenses). The Netherlands secured the second position with the highest GDP per capita among the top 10 countries ($51,052) and high levels of happiness. Coming in third is the United Arab Emirates, where corporate tax rates are also low, and the GDP is expected to grow by 4% in 2024.

Rounding out the top 10 are (in order): Lithuania, Romania, Czech Republic, Finland, Bahrain, Estonia, and Malaysia.
