Dubai Unified Licence
Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) has launched the ‘Dubai Unified Licence’ (DUL) to streamline business operations in the city. This unique identification is provided to all businesses, old and new, regardless of their licence type. It aims to simplify processes, enhance efficiency, and boost transparency.
The DUL initiative, in collaboration with the Dubai Free Zones Council, consolidates business data into a unified digital registry, facilitating better management and sharing of information. By reducing setup and operational complexities, it makes Dubai more attractive to investors and entrepreneurs, aligning with the city’s ambition to become a top global business destination.
Over 50,000 licences have already been issued, covering all registered companies in Dubai. The initiative is part of Dubai’s broader economic agenda, emphasizing ease of doing business and digital-first practices. It offers easy access to verified data, simplifies permit issuance, and enhances the customer experience.
Managed by DET’s Dubai Business Licence Corporation, the DUL system utilizes QR codes for easy identification, promoting seamless interactions with government entities and service providers. The collaboration between DET and the Dubai Free Zones Council ensures the initiative’s success, underscoring Dubai’s commitment to innovation and excellence in business facilitation.
