HNWI Population on the Rise Again
The number of ultra-rich (HNWI) people in the world has begun to grow again.
According to the Knight Frank The Wealth Report, the number of people with extremely high incomes (HNWI) worldwide increased by 4.2% in 2023 to 626,619 compared to 601,300 the previous year.
This growth compensates for the decline observed in 2022.
At the regional level, North America leads with a 7.2% increase in the number of wealthy individuals, the Middle East takes second place (6.2%), and Africa takes third place with a growth of 3.8%. Latin America is the only region where the number of wealthy individuals decreased (-3.6%).
In terms of country indicators, Turkey leads the ranking with a growth in the number of wealthy individuals by 9.7%, followed by the USA – 7.9%, India – 6.1%, South Korea – 5.6%, and Switzerland – 5.2%.
