Swiss bank UBS will close Russian accounts
The Swiss bank UBS announced its intention to close the accounts of Russian owners who are not residents of the country. This decision was made after a thorough analysis of the customer base resulting from the acquisition of another bank, Credit Suisse. According to the results of the study, it turned out that from 50% to 75% of the accounts owned by Russian clients belong to those who do not have Swiss resident status. As a result, UBS has taken the decision to close most of these accounts.
